Mines Work Health and Safety (Supplementary Requirements) Regulations 2012

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations, made under the Mines Work Health and Safety (Supplementary Requirements) Act 2012 and the Work Health and Safety Act 2012  –

(a) prescribe, for the purposes of the Mines Work Health and Safety (Supplementary Requirements) Act 2012 , certain measures required to be taken in respect of mines, including the preparation of certain plans and systems; and

(b) prescribe, for the purposes of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012  –

(i) that certain events are dangerous incidents; and

(ii) that certain decisions under these regulations are reviewable decisions; and

(iii) that offences against certain provisions of the Mines Work Health and Safety (Supplementary Requirements) Act 2012 and these regulations are infringement offences; and

(iv) the infringement notice penalties in respect of the infringement offences.
