EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the rule)
These rules, which replace the Fisheries (Processing and Handling) Rules 2001 –(a) impose requirements in relation to the possession and transportation of abalone, rock lobster and giant crab by the holders of fish processing licences and handling licences; and(b) specify reporting and other requirements relating to fish processing and handling; and(c) prescribe offences for which infringement notices may be issued and the penalties payable for those offences.
