EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the rule)

These Rules of Court amend the Supreme Court Rules 2000 by revising the Schedule of fees and costs to those rules so as to – 

(a) increase the fixed scale of fees allowed to practitioners and counsel; and

(b) provide for certain other fees and costs to be ascertained by reference to a scale of costs specified in the Magistrates Court (Civil Division) Rules 1998 .
