EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations –(a) provide for the safe construction, installation, operation, modification and decommissioning of offshore petroleum facilities (other than pipelines); and(b) replace the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Management of Safety on Offshore Facilities) Regulations 2002 ; and(c) mirror the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Management of Safety on Offshore Facilities) Regulations 1996 of the Commonwealth and corresponding legislation of other States.
