EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations amend the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2000 by –

(a) imposing a road safety levy in connection with the registration, or renewal of registration, of a vehicle between 1 December 2007 and 30 November 2012; and

(b) fixing the amount of the levy; and

(c) providing for the payment of the levy; and

(d) providing for exemptions from the levy.
