EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations –(a) prescribe the offices of Director of Environmental Management and Secretary of the Department of Tourism, Arts and the Environment as prescribed offices for the purposes of the Pollution of Waters by Oil and Noxious Substances Act 1987 ; and(b) make provision in relation to oil record books, cargo record books and garbage record books; and(c) make provision in relation to notifying certain incidents; and(d) apply certain provisions of orders of the Commonwealth as laws of Tasmania; and(e) make provision in relation to other miscellaneous matters; and(f) rescind the Pollution of Waters by Oil and Noxious Substances (Oil and Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk) Regulations 1989 .
