Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This proclamation revokes the existing conservation area at Port Cygnet and creates a new Port Cygnet Conservation Area. The revoked conservation area was –

(a) established as a sanctuary for birds generally by a proclamation under the Animals and Birds Protection Act 1928 (S.R. 1956, No. 32); and

(b) converted to a conservation area under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 by clause 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to that Act; and

(c) continued as a conservation area under the Nature Conservation Act 2002 by clause 2 of Schedule 4 to that Act.
