Meat Hygiene Regulations 2003

These regulations are administered in the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

(a) prescribe certain standards and codes that apply in relation to the operation of various aspects of licensed meat premises and licensed pet food works; and

(b) provide for certain matters in relation to quality assurance programs; and

(c) provide for certain matters in relation to the branding of meat, meat products and pet food; and

(d) prescribe certain fees; and

(e) prescribe certain marks and official marking devices; and

(f) rescind the Meat Hygiene Regulations 1986 .
