These regulations are administered in the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations make provision in respect of –

(a) the licensing of dealings with genetically modified organisms; and

(b) the notification of low risk dealings with genetically modified organisms; and

(c) the certification and accreditation of facilities and organisations dealing with genetically modified organisms; and

(d) the Gene Technology Technical Advisory Committee.
