These regulations amend the Traffic (Miscellaneous) Regulations 1968 consequent on the reforms effected by the Vehicle and Traffic Amendment (Vehicle Standards) Act 2001 , mainly by rescinding provisions that are now contained, in modified form, in the new (nationally consistent) vehicle standards laws and by updating the schedule of traffic infringement notice offences.
