This proclamation fixes 1 November 2000 as the day on which the provisions of the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1999 , other than sections 1, 2 and 62, commence. Sections 1, 2 and 62 commenced on the day on which the Act received the Royal Assent.
