EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations prescribe a code of practice for retail tenancies, endorsed by both Houses of Parliament under section 43(5) of the Fair Trading Act 1990 , including provisions in relation to –

(a) leases; and

(b) rent; and

(c) premises in shopping centres; and

(d) dispute resolution; and

(e) a monitoring committee.
