EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations –(a) provide for the management of prisons and the discipline and welfare of prisoners and detainees; and(b) make provision in respect of the holding of personal property of prisoners and detainees; and(c) make provision in respect of the release of prisoners and detainees and the remission of sentence; and(d) make provision in respect of records relating to prisoners and detainees; and(e) rescind regulations made under the Parole Act 1975 , Prison Act 1977 and Probation of Offenders Act 1973 .
