Gaming Control Amendment (Community Interest) Act 2016

An Act to amend the Gaming Control Act 1993

[Royal Assent 6 December 2016]

Be it enacted by Her Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

PART 1 - Preliminary

1.   Short title

This Act may be cited as the Gaming Control Amendment (Community Interest) Act 2016 .

2.   Commencement

(1)  Except as provided in this section, this Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
(2)  Part 3 commences on a day to be proclaimed.
PART 2 - Gaming Control Act 1993 Amended

The amendments effected by this Part have been incorporated into the authorised version of the Gaming Control Act 1993 .

PART 3 - Gaming Control Act 1993 Further Amended

In this Part, the Gaming Control Act 1993 is referred to as the Principal Act.

This Act is repealed on the three hundred and sixty fifth day from the day on which Part 3 commences.
