Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Tasmania) Regulations 2014

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Tasmania) Act 1994 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Tasmania) Regulations 2014 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on 21 December 2014.

3.   Eligible law

The Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use) Act 1995 is declared to be an eligible law for the purposes of the definition of permit in section 109 of the Agvet Code of Tasmania.

4.   Laws which have effect despite Code

Under section 36(2)(a) of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Tasmania) Act 1994 , the Poisons Act 1971 has effect despite the Agvet Code of Tasmania.
