Boundary Fences Regulations 2008

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Boundary Fences Act 1908 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Boundary Fences Regulations 2008 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on 30 December 2008.

3.   Interpretation

In these regulations –

Act means the Boundary Fences Act 1908 .

4.   Notice to fence

(1)  A notice under section 9 of the Act to join in erecting a sufficient fence or rabbit-proof fence is to be in accordance with Form 1 of Schedule 1 .

(2)  A notice under section 9 of the Act to join in making an existing fence rabbit-proof is to be in accordance with Form 2 of Schedule 1 .
